Poverty

Homelessness in our community is a grave issue, characterized by a lack of stable and safe housing. It impacts individuals’ health, safety, and dignity, challenging their ability to find employment and access essential services. This crisis underscores the need for compassionate and effective solutions.
Poverty is a critical issue, affecting many people’s ability to access fundamental needs such as healthcare, education, and safe housing. This situation not only limits opportunities but also deepens social and economic divides, creating a challenging environment for growth and improvement.

The Joshua Center
A Planned Group Residential Housing Community, to Give People Hope.
318 Outreach actively addresses food insecurity by distributing 600-1200 meals every Saturday to individuals in need. This initiative extends beyond meal provision, promoting community engagement and assistance while recognizing that access to nourishing food is a fundamental human right and crucial for preserving dignity.
318 Outreach tackles poverty by supplying essential everyday items, primarily through our Hygiene Project Parties. These gatherings involve community involvement in the assembly of hygiene kits for individuals experiencing homelessness, including items such as soap and toothbrushes, and other essentials.

Join Our Blanket Drive, Share Warmth
We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Blanket Drive, a heartwarming endeavor aimed at offering comfort and warmth to those in need during the cold winter months. We appeal to our compassionate community to contribute gently used or new blankets. These blankets will serve as a source of hope and comfort for many enduring chilly nights. To take part, simply click the button below. Consider the impact a quality blanket can have when the temperature dips to 30 or 40 degrees outside. This is more than just a donation; it’s a heartfelt gesture of compassion and care. Let’s unite in enveloping our community with warmth and kindness.
